Perhaps you and your colleagues do not always agree with each other, and you notice that communication could be better. Or you have a lot of expertise and knowledge yourself, but that doesn’t always means you can convince people to do what you want. Being right does not automatically mean that people agree with you. Communication is the key skill top professionals need to get people on board and make a difference.

In this basic programme you will learn what communication is all about. Your way of communicating is essential. You receive feedback on your personal verbal and non-verbal communication. The scientifically based Influence Model® gives you insights into a wide range of types of communication. You will become aware how to communicate more effectively by anticipating different situations and adapting to all kinds of people. You will find out what the effect is of letting go of your own goals and focusing your attention on your conversational partner.

In your work you interact with a variety of people every day to achieve your goals. You want to get more out of it, work together more smoothly, and make more impact. Find out how to align your communication with the other person and achieve more. During the training you work intensively with professionals like you, coming from different industries and business types. This way you will learn with and from others.

Specifications

Day 1

After a short introduction, you will immediately start with a diagnosis exercise and gain insight into your natural communication behavior. You will learn the basic theory of effective communication, practice giving clear feedback and discover the basis of the Influence Model®. You will use this knowledge in the exercises and role plays that follow. You will end the day with a moment of reflection.

Day 2

You analyze your ISI assessment. What signals about your communication behavior do you get from your graph? The rest of the day you will work with your new insights in our ‘communication flight simulator’. Through exercises, role plays and a personal practical case, you experiment with different ways of communicating and behavior.
