In this programme you will familiarise yourself with all aspects of the negotiation process. With the help of the Negotiation Model® and the Influence Model®, you will obtain tactical and strategical knowledge and skills in order to successfully negotiate with colleagues, employees, managers and external negotiators. The combination of obtaining knowledge on the Negotiation Model® and practicing with influencing behaviour makes sure you will become a successful negotiator.

During this training, you’ll be challenged to present yourself powerfully during a negotiation and create a win-win situation at the same time. These are the most important components.
With the help of the Negotiation Model® and the Influence Model®, you will obtain tactical and strategical knowledge and skills in order to successfully negotiate with colleagues, employees, managers and external negotiators.
You will learn how to balance between goal and relationship and will be able to switch between supply and demand. This way, you realise a ‘win-win’ negotiation result and strengthen the relationship with the other party.
You will learn to present yourself strongly when necessary and know how to portray yourself professionally. You will recognize which attitude and tactics can be used during negotiations.

The Negotiation Model®The Influence Model®You will go through the phases of the Negotiation Model® and learn how to use the Influence Styles of the Influence Model® per phase.
Strategy and tacticsCritical Influence SituationYou will do exercises concerning negotiation strategy and negotiation tactics. Following up, you will deal with a difficult negotiation situation from your own work situation, which you can apply in practice in the short term.
At the end of these two days you are a true negotiator, knowing the ropes of a good negotiation ending in a win-win situation (and in your favour).
You recognise your style of influencing and you will be able to weigh communicational behaviours against each other to see what a certain negotiation needs (switching).
You understand how you can effectively use influence in the negotiation process.
You know how to reach ideal results during commercial and in-house negotiations.
You’re able to solve conflicts of interests without losing your own advantages out of sight.
You’re able to gain more from a negotiation without putting pressure on the relationship with the other.

You are looking for a compact, fast paced negotiation training focused on daily life situations (in the workplace). The Effective Negotiation programme is for negotiators who want to know what their strengths are and how they can increase these, while developing other parts of the communicational coin, to become more successful during in-house and external negotiations.
You’ll work together intensively with your peers from different branches and company sizes. This way, you’ll learn from and with others.

When you’re away from your daily environment, without any kind of distractions or things that ‘need’ to be done, you can completely concentrate on the things that matter during the programme. Participate in the programme at your chosen venue for the full experience.
When you want to finalize your option and register for a specific training programme, you can click on the link in the option confirmation email. This will automatically send you to the registration form of the programme. In case the programme is fully booked, you’ll be sent through to the registration for the waiting list. Because you already have an option on the programme, we will pair this to your waiting list registration and this will count as a definite registration for the training.
You are never required to stay the night, but we would recommend this. The training days are often quite intense and it helps to be fully away from home during the programme. Days without hurry, long commute journeys, things at home that demand your attention – we want you to fully focus on yourself and your learning goal. In addition, many participants say they have experienced the stay and drinks together with the training group as a valuable part of the programme. This can count for many more moments of reflection and awareness.
We don’t usually check whether colleagues are part of one training group. In case you would like to change this, you can explicitly let us know when you place an option or register for the programme. Naturally, we will then take this into account. In case one of your colleagues registers for the same programme, we will contact you.

Four weeks before the start date of the programme, we will know whether it will actually commence. If there aren’t enough participants enrolled into the programme at that point, we will contact you to discuss the possibilities.
NBA registered accountants receive PE-hours when they follow one of the selected programmes. You can find a full overview of this selection here. You’re able to indicate your wish of receiving PE-hours during your registration.

You don’t need to bring a laptop. During the programme, you’ll be using one of our iPads or exercise folders.
The size of the group differs. In general, there will be about between 9 and 18 people in one training group. There will be a trainer present for every 9 participants. We only know how many people will participate a few weeks in advance. If you wish to be part of a bigger or smaller group during the training days, you can tell us in the comment section of an option or registration.

In case you’re already participating in one of our programmes, you will receive the training times per email. Furthermore, you can find them in the Influence HUB.
