To learn and develop in a European perspective
Zuidema is involved in several European Projects. These porjects are supported with fundings from
Leonardo da Vinci and Grundtvig. In 2009 we succesfully completed the project 'APL in companies' and we started with
four new Eoropean projects regarding a life long learning.

ANGELIE
ANGELIE builds on the significance of key competences in Europe (refer 8 key competences for lifelong learning) and includes the development of social and civic competences, intercultural and entrepreneurship skills.

Project Career transition in times of crisis (2009-2011)
One of the Leonardo life long learning projects Bureau Zuidema participates in is ‘Career transition in times of crises’. Today's economic crisis places the issue of dealing with career change and transition at the very heart of enterprises reflection regarding prospective management of competence.

Project MASS
MASS is a Leonardo-project in the framework of the Leonardo da Vinci programme Transfer of Innovation. The project started in September 2009 and is promoted by Angus College (UK). Zuidema participates in the Dutch pilot of this European project, together with ROC Aventus.

Project APL in prison
Young people in (juvenile) prison have difficulties in reaching a formal qualification in VET. Although they get training during their stay in prison, the training is ad hoc and is difficult to linked to formal qualifications. When they leave prison, they have no proves of their qualifications or competences.

Completed projects:
Project APL in companies (2007-2009)
In the summer of 2008, project partners ROC Aventus (NL), Kadis (SI) and Wisamar (D) used this framework to build a business plan for their APL Centre. Expert knowledge on APL was provided by CINOP/Dutch Centre for accreditation of prior learning. (Completed in summer 2009)
