Influence: to cooperate and develop

Bureau Zuidema exerts influence on the chain of sustainable knowledge development by stimulating cooperation and development. We also believe in listening to the stories of others, to empathise with others by understanding what moves them and to learn from each other’s history. From out that vision and way of working we are constantly seeking to broaden our own knowledge.

Bureau Zuidema carries out cooperation and development in our own organisation, but we also work on it together with our freelance partners, clients, colleagues from other consultancies, business schools and universities. For us, cooperation and development is based on wondering and curiosity. It is not at all based on showing how much you know, but on the will to discover. The intended sustainable effect of that cooperation and development is that every year we can exert more influence within the chain of strategic learning and development.

In may 2008 Bureau Zuidema organised a symposium with the name Influence: cooperate and develop. On the occasion of that symposium we asked several people to share their authentic stories. We did this for inspiration, to write down the past and to think about the future. That collection of essays tells their stories along with other articles of people we asked to contribute to the topic.
